Winter Brook’s owner and winemaker Sandy Gibson relocated to Tasmania mid 2021 with her family. It has been an inspirational journey to uplift Winter Brook Vineyard, Winery and Cellar Door to reach its vision of high-quality boutique wines.

Sandy and her team of highly complimented workers are passionate in ensuring that every visitor to Winter Brook has a relaxed, informative and delicious experience.

Winter Brook Vineyard produces high quality fruit that is handpicked to develop fine quality wines in the estate winery. We maintain a small level of production (about 10,000 bottles annually) as we love to be involved in all aspects of our wines.

Winter Brook's premium white wines include Estate and Reserve Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Fumé Blanc, Mélange Blanc (signature white blend featuring Gruner Veltliner) and a range of Sparkling wines including Blanc de Blanc, Blanc de Noir and Blanc de Noir Blush. We have our stunning Pinot Rosé, and our red wines include Estate Pinot Noir, Reserve Block No.1 Pinot Noir, our highly sought after German variety Dornfelder and our much-coveted signature red, Maverick (Dornfelder, Reserve Pinot Noir and Baco Noir).

Our beautiful cellar door has been rejuvenated to offer a warm, cosy and relaxed environment including a great outdoor covered deck with heating, an inside lounge area with fireplace and for the warmer months we will soon have our vineyard gazebos with stunning views across the vines and nearby scenic hills. In the cellar door we offer two wine tasting menus including our Sparkling flight or full wine menu which at any one time, includes around seven wines on tasting. Along with wine we also offer amazing Tasmanian produce of locally crafted cheeses, fruit pastes and cured meats via a pick your own platter.

This vineyard participates in the Tamar Valley Mixed Dozen freight scheme. 

Collect wine on your travels and present your purchased bottles (in dozen lots) at the last vineyard on your journey – they’ll let you know the cost of freight and it will be sent to your home address.
