Small Wonder is a family owned business, focused on quality small batch winemaking; intent on reducing our impact on the environment; respecting the land and community; and celebrating the wonder of Tasmania and cool climate wines.

Nestled within native bushland on the Western Ridge of the Tamar Valley the 20 hectares of vines were established in 1998.

Since becoming caretakers of this remarkable place in 2020, we have been working to restore biodiversity across the property and have recently gained full organic certification. Remaining family owned throughout, we are intent on reducing our impact on the planet and bringing people closer together.

Our wines are a reflection of our vineyard; a diverse clonal selection from individual sites, which provide a unique varietal expression each harvest. Predominantly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with smaller plantings of Riesling and Pinot Gris the resulting Small Wonder wines have grace, elegance and texture.

Join us for a tasting experience and locally sourced gourmet platter while enjoying the stunning views from our cellar door.

This vineyard participates in the Tamar Valley Mixed Dozen freight scheme. 

Collect wine on your travels and present your purchased bottles (in dozen lots) at the last vineyard on your journey – they’ll let you know the cost of freight and it will be sent to your home address.
